是的，五月份的雅思口语轮换题又出现了，好早之前口语中考过的wedding又重出江湖!好多孩子觉得这个雅思口语话题实在没什么好说的，如果要描 写一个传统的中式婚礼，很多礼仪和习俗不会表达，比如“一拜天地二拜高堂夫妻对拜”，本来是很严肃和神圣的仪式，如果直译成英文就变成了“给天和地磕头， 给父母磕头，两个人互相磕头”。不熟悉中国文化的雅思考官可能会被震惊到---中国的礼仪怎能如此weird!

　　所以这个时候，大家也不用纠结“接新娘”“堵门”“要红包”“找鞋”这些中国特有词汇怎么翻译啦，毕竟雅思口语考试的禁忌就是自己难为自己，所以我们需要take the easy way out!

　　大家再怎么不喜欢电影，长这么大了肯定接触过电影里男女主角结婚的桥段嘛，再加上明星们一结婚就会砸钱办豪华婚礼，所以从新闻里也大概能想象到 wedding的样子了嘛!于是，随便找个亲戚朋友当bride或者groom，我们当一回wedding planer，在雅思口语考场上用两分钟虚构一场婚礼吧!

　　Well, I’ve been to countless wedding ceremonies so far, but the most memorable one is my cousin’s wedding, which is not a traditional one that is held in a restaurant or a church, but on a secluded beach in Bali. It was actually a destination wedding and only close friends and family members were invited. The wedding celebrations went like a dream, I mean, the azure sky, the crystal clear water, the soothing sound of the waves, the soft sand, everything! And the reception was sweet as well. I can see that the wedding planner must have put a lot of thoughts in it. The bride looked gorgeous in that fancy wedding dress, and my cousin was drop-dead handsome, so you see, that wedding was picture-perfect! And my uncle was very original when he made his speech. He didn’t say that I wish you a happy marriage or you should start a family soon, like other parents would do. Instead, he shared his opinion on marriage, and I quote: Life is a long a bumpy journey, and you guys should hold each other’s hands and get through this together. Marriage is not a fairy tale. There will be imperfections. At some point in your life, you might have a fight or disagreement, but you must never stop loving each other and tolerate each other. There was soft background music while he was doing this, which made it incredibly touching, I could see tears welling up in the couple’s eyes.

　　So, I guess it’s fair to say that wedding is the best one I’ve ever been to, and I hope some day, I could have one just like that.

　　I was told that a girl in a wedding dress was the most gorgeous, and that’s true. I’ve never seen my sister as beautiful as she was that day. My father gave her away to my brother-in-law, and they exchanged vows and wedding rings, just like what I’d seen in romantic movies. My mom was moved to tears, and I believe that was a mixed feeling for her, but mostly happy tears.

　　And the reception was unique as well. It was an all-you-can-eat buffet. I think it was a good way for people to mingle. During the dinner, my brother-in-law proposed a toast and gave a speech. I can’t remember exactly what he said, but the general idea was how lucky it was to meet my sister and have her as his wife. He has a great sense of humor, so although what he said was really touching, he managed to make everybody laugh. I was so happy for my sister. The memory is so fresh as if it happened yesterday.
