在雅思写作task 1中，学生经常需要使用介词来表达时间和数字的变化。然而，如何正确的使用各式各样的介词往往会给基础阶段的同学带来困扰。今天我们来盘点一下task 1小作文中最常用的一些介词：

1. between…and (在…之间）

例如：Between 2002 and 2010; between May to June

2. from…to （从…到…）

例如：from 2002 to 2010; from May to June

We are open from 8 to 7 every day. (牛津字典）

3. from …until （从…到…为止）

例如：from 2002 until 2010; from May until July

The street is full of traffic from morning until night. (牛津字典）

4. for （表示一段时间，回答how long的问题）

例如：for the three years；for the five-month period

I stayed in London for a week. (牛津高阶）

5. during（在…期间,表示发生的时间）

例如：During the three years; during the five-month period; during 1994;            during the spring

There are extra flights to Paris during the winter.

6. over (during sth, 在…期间）

例如：over the three years; over the five-month period

We will discuss it over lunch.（牛津高阶）

7. in （在哪一年，在几月，在什么季节）

例如：in 2007； in July，in spring

8. after （在…之后）

例如：after 2007； after a slight drop

After a slight drop, there was a steady price rise.

9. before （在…之前）

例如：before 2007； before dropping

Prices rose for two years, before dropping again in 1992.

10. from…to (从..到...，描述状态的变化）

和动词rise/fall， increase/decrease连用时，用来描述 上升或者下降的变化。

例如：The number fell from 125 million to 75 million.

11. at （在…,描述所处的一种状态，并非变化）

例如：The number began at 120 million.

12.of （用于名词后）

例如：There was an increase of 5 million.

There was a trend of a gradual decrease.
